Automatic Migration of Card IDs
Aiming to continuously improve our customers' experience, we will migrate 100% of our card ID database. This means that stores with the option to accept payments with saved cards will have new "card_id" generated automatically. This measure is taken to improve security and prevent errors in this type of transactions.
The migration will occur progressively starting in October, based on the day, month, and year of the customer's creation, for example: 01/01/2019.
To guarantee that everything happens in the most transparent and simple way, follow our recommendations:
Schedule a message asking the buyer to delete the saved card and register it again in the e-commerce platform.
Assess the need of storing the "card_id" in your database. This is because the search and get endpoints always return the complete and most updated information.
If you indeed need to store the "card_id," implement the "Card Updater" webhook. If you need to understand better what the role of the Card Updater is, we have this documentation available as well.
Important: the customer ID will not change.
